Richard & Faye had the most idyllic and beautifully renovated family home in the North Cotswolds that they were turning into a holiday-let. They had been using Airbnb and Sideaways, but wanted to have their own booking facility and online space to show off their holiday let.

The tone of voice
The holiday let location was perfectly located for many Cotswold Walks and a village location perfect for a long getaway from the City. We wanted to talk about the idyllic location, the space for contemplation, the time to unwind.
The technology
We built the website is Wordpress with an E-commerce functionality to take bookings and deposits through the Stripe payment gateway. The website synced with their Airbnb profile and calendar, so there was not conflict on booking dates for the end user.
Above the fold
We used hero images of the home, with an icon set that quickly communicated some of the features to really show off the home in all it’s glory.
Website style and design
We kept the design and styling very classic. A mixture of a serif font, and a more modern sans-serif – that was ideal for the target demographic Richard & Faye were trying to connect with.
The result
Richard & Faye started receiving bookings through their own website, helping them avoid commission charges from third-parties and being in control of their holiday let, while still being supported by Airbnb and the obvious traction that website affords them.
